MARC
JORDAN
Marc Jordan began his professional career in Los Angeles
in 1977 when he was signed to Warner Bros. Records, working with famed
Steely Dan producer Gary
Katz. Marc spent the next 15 years in L.A.
making and producing records for Warner Bros., BMG, and Atlantic Records.
During this time, while signed to Geffen and then Warner-Chappell Publishing,
Marc wrote songs for and with Diana Ross, Manhattan
Transfer, Kenny Loggins, Joe Cocker, Sheena Easton Amanda Marshall,
Cher, Shawn Colvin, Chicago, Natalie Cole, Holly Cole as well as four songs for Rod
Stewart including Rod's #1 world-wide hit, "Rhythm
Of My Heart".
Marc's television and film credits include Slugger's
Wife (Rob Lowe),
Like Father Like Son (Dudley Moore), Blown
Away (Jeff Bridges), A
Perfect Storm (George Clooney), Touched
By An Angel and many more.
Dubbed the "songwriter to
the stars", and
treasured for what is now a baby boomer standard, "Marina
Del Ray", Marc
has made eleven recordings under his own name and is
currently signed to legendary jazz label Blue Note (EMI).
His latest recording, Make Believe Ballroom,
was released in June of 2004.
Marc lives in Toronto with his wife,
singer-songwriter Amy Sky.
